PD Beda Fajardo told DZMM that filing impeachment after Chr. Bautista’s resignation would waste the lower house’s time and resources.
During an interview over DZMM - PD Beda Fajardo was asked about the filing of the impeachment even if Chr. Bautista already tendered his resignation effective Dec. 31. PD Fajardo told DZMM the filing of the impeachment is a waste of the precious time and resources of the lower house as between now and Dec. 31 there is not enough time to even complete the prosecution of the case hence the whole process of impeachment will not be completed before the effectivity of Bautista's resignation. And what is the point of the impeachment when Bautista already tendered his resignation. I don't think Bautista will withdraw it.
