June 6, 2018

ISDG/VPE/Dir. Lance Masters welcomed the family of Kyle Faisan, the first patient under “Rotary’s Heart for Little Angels”, from Talisay, Negros Occidental at the NAIA Terminal 3 in Pasay City.

ISDG/VPE/Dir. Lance Masters hosted lunch for the family of Kyle Faisan, the first patient under the “Rotary’s Heart for Little Angels” project at the Seafood Island, SM North Edsa in Quezon City before he undergoes further tests before surgery.

DGE Rudy Bediones attended the monthly meeting of the committee handling the 15th Asia Pacific Regional Rotaract Conference (APRRC) in Manila at the Legend Seafood Restaurant in Pasay City.

June 7, 2018

PE/Dir. Susing Pineda and Rtn. Romy Nones were guests of Rtn. Tony Lopez and Elizabeth Lee, hosts of the television program, on BIZNEWS on PTV 4 in Quezon City. The two Manila Rotarians discussed the brief background of the Rotary Club of Manila, its projects and the celebration of its centennial.

The TOWER Awards Committee held a meeting at the Lounge of the New World Makati Hotel in Makati City. Chairman PP Benny Laguesma constituted the committee composed of PT Jun Follosco (not in photo), PD Knud Hedeager and PS Butch Marking. The meeting was called to plan for the launching of the TOWER Awards to be held on June 21, 2018 at the New World Makati Hotel in Makati City where project benefactor, Petron Foundation and project partners, People Management Association of the Philippines (PMAP) and the Department of Labor and Employment will be invited. Also present during the meeting were Club Secretary Alvin Lacambacal and Treasurer Nicky Villaseñor.

PE/Dir. Susing Pineda met with Rotary Club of New Orleans PE/VP Peter Waring, his spouse, Patricia Solar, and Dir. Heather Kirk at the Gallery 1 of the New World Makati Hotel in Makati City to discuss possible project partnerships on Basic Education and Literacy as well as Disaster Management. Also present during the meeting were IPP Teddy Ocampo, Club Secretary Alvin Lacambacal, Treasurer Nicky Villaseñor, AT Ner Lonzaga and REAP Co-Chair Rtn. Romy Nones.

DGE Rudy Bediones attended the 15th Philippine Rotary Awards Night at the Quezon City Sports Club in Quezon City where District 3810 won Top 2 Highest Subscription Increase for the Philippine Rotary Magazine.

June 8, 2018

Former National Security Adviser and Former Parañaque Representative PVP Roy Golez was interviewed by Jaymart over DWIZ regarding reports that Chinese Coast Guard personnel were harassing Filipino fishermen in Scarborough Shoal and even seizing their catch.

Rotary Club of Manila Centennial Commemorative Stamp Committee Chair ISDG/PAG/PP Frank Evaristo and Rotary Club of Manila Centennial Celebration Committee Chair PDG Obet Pagdanganan met with the Philippine Post Office (PHILPOST) personnel at the Board Room of the Secretariat of the Rotary Club of Manila in Manila.

DGE Rudy and Lady Sharon Bediones attended the 11th Induction Ceremony and 10th Charter Anniversary of the Rotary Club of Pasay Southeast at the Acero Hall, Headquarters Philippine Marines, Fort Bonifacio, Taguig City where Inspiring President Melquiades Ordiales, Jr. was inducted.

ISDG/VPE/Dir. Lance Masters visited James Daniel Abayon, another patient who will undergo surgery under the “Rotary’s Heart for Little Angels” project, at Childhaus Manila in Manila.

ISDG/VPE/Dir. Lance Masters hosted lunch for Kyle Faisan and James Daniel Abayon, the two patients for surgery under “Rotary’s Heart for Little Angels”, and their respective families at Cabalen, Robinson’s Place Manila in Ermita, Manila.

DGE Rudy Bediones and ISDG/PAG/PP Frank Evaristo attended the District 3810 Public Relations Committee Meeting at the Rockwell Club in Makati City. The meeting was hosted by ISDG/PAG/PP Frank Evaristo, one of two incoming Senior Deputy Governors for Public Image. The Chair of the District Public Relations Committee is ISDG Arlene Velez of the Rotary Club of Manila Midtown while the Chair of the Centennial Public Relations Committee is ISDG/PAG/PP Frank Evaristo.

DGE Rudy and Lady Sharon Bediones attended The Greatest Appreciation and Awards Night of Rotaract District 3810 at the Philippine Navy Officers’ Clubhouse, Bonifacio Naval Station, Taguig City.

The Rotaract Club of Manila, one of the sponsored clubs of the Rotary Club of Manila, replicated the feat of its sponsoring club as it was named OVERALL MOST OUTSTANDING CLUB and Great President Michael Edgar Recabar as OVERALL MOST OUTSTANDING CLUB PRESIDENT for Rotary Year 2017-2018 during The Greatest Appreciation and Awards Night of Rotaract District 3810 held at the Philippine Navy Officers’ Clubhouse, Bonifacio Naval Station, Taguig City.

The Rotaract Club of De La Salle-College of St. Benilde, the youngest sponsored Rotaract club of the Rotary Club of Manila, having been chartered only this RY 2017-2018, immediately made its presence felt when it was named Rookie Club of the Year for Rotary Year 2017-2018 during The Greatest Appreciation and Awards Night of Rotaract District 3810 held last at the Philippine Navy Officers’ Clubhouse, Bonifacio Naval Station, Taguig City.

The Rotaract Club of De La Salle University Manila bagged a windfall of awards at The Greatest Appreciation and Awards Night of Rotaract District 3810 at the Philippine Navy Officers’ Clubhouse, Bonifacio Naval Station, Taguig City:

DE Jackie and Rotary Ann Sonia Rodriguez hosted dinner at their residence in Pacific Plaza Condominium in Makati City. Present aside from the couple were DGE Rudy and Lady Sharon Bediones, DE Raffy Alunan and Rtn. Juan Montel.

ISDG/VPE/Dir. Lance Masters brought Rotary’s Heart for Little Angels patient James Daniel Abayon to the University of the Philippines-Philippine General Hospital in Manila for admission before he undergoes surgery.

Former National Security Adviser and Former Parañaque Representative PVP Roy Golez was interviewed by Cesar Chavez over DZRH regarding the landing of a Chinese military plane in Davao for refuelling. This was the last interview of PVP Roy Golez as an hour and a few minutes later, he passed away.

Wake of the late Former National Security Adviser and Former Parañaque Representative PVP Roy Golez was opened to the public for viewing at the Heritage Memorial Park in Taguig City.

DGE Rudy and Lady Sharon Bediones attended the Induction Ceremonies of the Rotary Club of Quiapo Plaza Miranda at the Minor Basilica of the Black Nazarene (Quiapo Church) and thereafter, at Jollibee in Quiapo, Manila where Inspiring President Harry Angping was inducted.

DE/Dir. Issam Eldebs attended the 120th Anniversary of the Proclamation of Philippine Independence in Davao City.

June 13, 2018

PE/Dir. Susing and Rotary Ann Maritess Pineda together with representatives from Grameen Foundation, Rotaract, AYLC, CENTEX Aimuni and Project Duke held a meeting for Sari-Saring Aralan at the Ayala Foundation, Inc. Office, Paseo de Roxas Building in Makati City.
