Updates on the Centennial Celebration

The Steering Committee met on a centennial motorcade proposal and the Souvenir Program Committee discussed page allocations, while President Susing Pineda appealed for the District Conference.

Updates on the Centennial Celebration

The Rotary Club of Manila Centennial Steering Committee met with former Tourism Secretary Mina Gabor's AAP events team last January 31, 2019 at the Gallery 1 of the New World Makati Hotel regarding their proposal for a Rotary Centennial Motorcade celebrating 100 years of the Rotary movement in the Philippines to entice more Rotarians to attend our centennial culminating activities.

The Centennial Souvenir Program Committee held a meeting last February 6, 2019 at the Board Room of the DTI International Building in Makati City. Discussion delved on the number of pages devoted to Rotary matters and those devoted to ads. Generation of additional revenue from export marketing associations was suggested. A main souvenir program and a supplement were suggested with different prices as to advertising rates. Costing for the printing of a souvenir program for 150 pages was requested. Present were DE/BLA Amading Valdez, Rtn. Gani Macatoman, PP Teddy Ocampo, DE/Treasurer Nicky Villaseñor, Rtn. John Emyl Eugenio and ISDG/IS/DE/Dir. Albert Alday.

President Susing Pineda, PAT Muhammad Aslam and Rtn. Johnny Chotrani attended the Business Councils and Philippine Chamber of Commerce and Industry Plenary Meeting last January 31, 2019 at the Manila Polo Club in Makati City.
