Ombudsman Samuel Reyes Martires spoke on maintaining integrity and high ethical standards in government at the 38th weekly meeting of the Rotary Club of Manila.

President Susing Pineda held a meeting with DGE Liza Elorde last May 6, 2019 at the coffee shop of the Midas Hotel and Casino in Pasay City regarding the vigorous campaign for attendance of District Governors-Elect and Presidents-Elect at our Centennial Celebration. Also present were ISDG/IS/DE/Dir. Albert Alday, FG Rtn. Johnny Elorde and ICoS Maribelle Chua.

STAR Rtn Karlo Castro as lead reciter of the Four (4) Way Test, renews fellow Rotarians’ commitment to the Rotary Movement.
PP Francis Juico, Chairman, Rotary Club of Manila Centennial Celebration Invitation Committee, presented updates on the invitation to daughter and sister Rotary Clubs, and solicited volunteers among fellow RCMers’ who shall initiate/take the lead in extending an invitation to other Rotary Clubs in the District 3810.

Centennial Pres. Susing Pineda during his president’s time reported on soliciting from Toyota Motors of 1Million and a Toyota Vios for the grand raffle; another 1Million from PAGCOR; P500,000 from Bankard and several credit line facilities and P150,000 from Ayala Corporation. He then appealed to fellow RCMers’ who have yet to remit payments to the Club on the assessment dues to update their respective accounts.
Rtn Ani Desierto, former Ombudsman of the Republic of the Philippines, does the honor, pleasure and privilege of introducing Hon. Samuel Reyes Martires, Ombudsman, Republic of the Philippines, as guest of honor and speaker.

Hon. Samuel Reyes Martires, Ombudsman, Republic of the Philippines, spoke before Manila Rotarians and Guests, on his experiences in maintaining integrity and efficiency and high ethical standards in the government’s graft body through proactive approaches in graft prevention and public assistance, prompt investigation of complaints and aggressive prosecution of cases filed against erring public officials and employees.
A public forum immediately followed with RCMers’ PE Jackie Rodriguez, PD Beda Fajardo, BLA Amading Valdez and IPP Jimmie Policarpio actively participating and interacting with the guest speaker.
