Gemologist Shows Luster
Gemologist Harry Owen gave Manila Rotarians a crash course in gemology, from a background of the jewelry business to each gem and its value.

In an industry as intricate as the study of gems, there are those who choose to forego what they have studied in college to pursue one of the most lucrative careers there is in the world of business. Harry Owen, was one such individual whose quantum leap from police officer to gemologist extraordinaire, has brought him the fortunes of a lifetime.
From giving a brief background of the jewelry business to educating the flock of Manila Rotarians on each and every gem there is, was, so to speak, a crash course in gemology which usually takes years to master in its entirety. His thorough discussion on each and every stone together with their respective values, no doubt, brought his audience into a quandary as they marvelled at how adept he was with the jewelry business and the wellspring of knowledge on gems culled from many years of experience.

There is a saying that goes, “diamonds are a girl’s best friends”. No a male gemologist shows luster.
