Over the past 23 years, Roy has been in Cebu and consulted to a number of listed and private mining companies and trading companies in Australia, Papua New Guinea, North America, Europe and in the Philippines. Extensive international and local experience.
Established Macquarie Bank Bullion and Commodities Division then became President of Macquarie Metals in North America (MBL) and the first Philippine liaison for the Bank’s mining and infrastructure groups. After MBL, focus was with the Tennant group, active in a wide range of industries and market segments. Consulted with Price Waterhouse Mining Industry Group and a principal in the creation of AIDC Metals, a JV with the Australian Government.
A major focus has been the development of a sustainable Philippine mining sector as a consultant and principal in a number of projects as an expert in project finance, offtake, hedging and M&A transactions. Activities included logistics, community relations and government coordination. He played a significant role in the development of the Canatuan Mine and in TVI’s acquisition of the Agata Mine.
