The Tower Awards is a cooperative endeavor between the Rotary Club of Manila and the PMAP. It was first conceived in RY 1975-1976 during the term of President Teofilo "Fil" Reyes with then, Club Secretary Alberto "Bert" Romulo as Project Chairman and this was undertaken jointly with the Ministry of Labor, now, Department of Labor and Employment.
The project was suspended from 1986-1996, but, was revived in 1996 in response to the call to revitalize excellence and productivity in the workplace and energize collective skills of our workers for global competition. Thereafter, an intermittent launch was held accordingly. To date, there are more than two hundred (200) Tower Awardees who have been recognized.
The main objective of the Tower Awards is to recognize the contribution to economic development of the legions of skilled workers who constitute the backbone of the country's industrial capacity.
Today, the 2021 edition of the Tower Awards is launched.
