President’s Corner

Greetings Fellow RCM Members!

As we are now into the advent Season, let us gear up for the approaching best time of the year with joy and thanksgiving to the Almighty for having brought us this far! This abbreviated work week has allowed some, if not most of us, to have some respite from work - be it digital or live.

Some of our members who were able to attend the Presidential Conference which was “held” in Manila this year were delighted with the program. The Webinar was truly awesome. I have never joined a more sophisticated State of the Art Webinar… ever. It was almost as good as being there! The participants from all over Asia Pacific were all fired up and gave excellent updates on various projects covering several areas of Rotary’s Focus. Our own DGND Jackie Rodriguez gave a splendid talk on the Tree Planting Program that is being pushed globally and was very well lauded by the Global Rotary Community.

We are getting ready for the Governor’s visit wherein we shall be reviewing our accomplishments and the forward plans of our club.

So that’s it folks, stay safe one and all. As of this writing, I believe our leaders have taken more rapid action to impose travel bans on countries with the new Omicron variant. Let us all pray that this new variant will not penetrate our shores in the coming days. In any case, let us continue to be extremely careful in observing protocols.

I will conclude this piece by issuing a reminder to one and all on the two basic and vital goals we have: 1) Each One Bring One 2) All Rotary Club of Manila members should be Paul Harris Fellows.

Mabuhay tayong lahat!!!

Humbly yours in Rotary, FSZ
