President’s Corner

Greetings my dear fellow Rotarians! As we wind down the Calendar year of 2021, I would like to extend my best wishes to one and all during these Christmas Holidays.

We have been so blessed with all the milestones of our club. Last week, we had a very successful Governor’s Visit which was a comprehensive review of our club activities and achievements accomplished thus far during this Rotary Year.

There was a Team Visit held last November 27, 2021 to run through the presentation for the Governor’s Visit together with his district team. Last Thursday, the day started with District Governor Robert Koa and I doing a one-on-one prior to the Governor’s Visit where there was a review of the plans of the Rotary Club of Manila in the presence of the Board of Directors. The team meeting went into overtime and thankfully the District Governor reserved his message for the meeting proper together with the entire club.

Today, we shall be having the elections for the Board of Trustees for our RCManila Foundation, Inc. The nominations have been made where we have received the confirmations from the nominees and we shall hopefully elect into office a dynamic set of Trustees for next Rotary year.

Today, likewise, I am giving a Special Presidential Citation to a true pure blooded Rotarian. I am not printing his name here lest the element of surprise be diluted. We are also gearing up for our Virtual Christmas Fellowship this Friday at 5:00 pm.

Bring out your Hawaiian shirts and shades as we get together for this themed virtual gathering. We shall have entertainment, some games, food and prizes!!!

This coming Sunday is our DDCC/IPP Bobby Joseph’s birthday. True to form, he is celebrating his special day by spending lunch with the DUALTECH community during his birthday. Iba talaga si DDCC/IPP Bobby Joseph. Happy and Blessed Advanced Birthday to you, our dear IPP Bobby Joseph! Mabuhay ka!

Finally, I would like to gently remind everyone to please celebrate this Christmas with the right Reason for the Season … the greatest gift ever! Our Lord and Savior… Jesus Christ !!! Cheers!!!
