President's Corner

President Chito Zaldarriaga calls for unity behind the new administration and announces the July 1 District induction invitation, a May 26 video shoot and the day's Classification Talks.

President's Corner

Greetings my dear RCM brothers!

We are facing a new dawn. The votes have been counted. Vox Populi Vox Dei. We now must ALL move on towards making this administration work. By now, those of us who voted for the losing candidates must be done licking our respective wounds. It is now time to pick ourselves up and open our hearts and our minds to working towards a common National Goal. We must all pray for our new leaders. Let us pray for President-Elect Ferdinand Marcos Jr. that he will be guided, not only by the best possible Cabinet Secretaries available, but, more importantly, be driven by a strong and reverent fear of our Lord. Let us indeed UNITE in making this administration work, and work well!

There is an invitation to join the Handover and Induction Ceremonies from DGE Joyce Ambray scheduled on July 1, 2022 at the OKADA MANILA Hotel. This is on a first come, first serve basis. RCManila Foundation, Inc. Chairman and Rotary Club of Manila Programs Committee Chairman PE/PVP Hermie Esguerra has made arrangements for and sponsored two tables for this event. Please coordinate with Secretariat to check if there are still slots open and sign up! Salamat RCManila Foundation, Inc. Chairman and Rotary Club of Manila Programs Committee Chairman PE/PVP Hermie Esguerra!

On May 26, 2022, coinciding with our live TOWER Awards Meeting, we are scheduling a photo/video shoot to update the Lupang Hinirang rendition of the club. So, if you are not yet part of the current video, please join. The shoot starts at 10:00 am and ends at 4:00 pm. Barong Tagalog and black pants for uniformity are required.

We are ushering in several new members who have been approved by the Board last Tuesday during our Tenth (10th) Regular Board Meeting. After they have gone through our standard briefings, they will be scheduled for Charging and Induction at an appropriate date soon.

Today, we have two of our formidable members who will be sharing their stories during today’s Classification Talks. STAR Rtn. Bertel Ingmar “Ingy” Bertelsen will present his topic on “Investments in Mahogany Plantations and Mangrove Projects”. We will also have ISAA Nagi Zeitouni who will share his rich experience in the food industry. So sit back and enjoy the program today!

Warmest regards to one and all!

Humbly yours in Rotary,
