Rtn. Jed Dayang, Minister and Consul General of the Philippine Embassy in Türkiye, had the chance to greet H.E. President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan on the 99th anniversary of the birth of the Republic of Türkiye.

"President Erdoğan is the 12th and current president of Türkiye since 2014. He was prime minister of Türkiye from 2003 to 2014 and mayor of Istanbul from 1994 to 1998. I first visited Türkiye in 1997 and ever since I have felt a deep fascination for this country which stands at the crossroads of civilizations, history, and a hub between East and West. Its founder Kamal Pacha Ataturk, the Turkish first President has modernized Türkiye in all aspects of life."
