Punlaan Update

Funding

We have given the RCM check for 560K to Punlaan. Out of this, they have used a total of 420K for the seven (7) Scholars' expenses; and there is still 140K remaining. This will be applied in the next semester. I'll provide a copy to ES Anna for our files.

Punlaan Scholars

I have the application forms of all seven Scholars, including their contact details for our files. These are: Barbie Marquez, Richaella Roque, Juliana Marie Molina, Cherry Lyn Paga, Juliana Domingo, Angela Checa, and Dana Taguiam. They are already doing on-site classes, and I was able to meet a few of them in one of my visits. I plan to have them meet you personally, as they want to give you their thanks and appreciation.

Future Scholarship Funding

The plans of Punlaan is to admit more students next year to make use of the added capacity of the new building. Hoteliers and restaurateurs, preferably in RCM, will be contacted and offered to participate in the scholarship of added students. In turn, they will be a soft guarantee of sorts that they will receive the same students to work in their establishments for an X number of years or so. But this still needs to be threshed out and more carefully thought of.

Punlaan Docs

I have the corresponding Invoice, Official receipt and Certificate of Donation from Punlaan to account for, and document the expenses. I will provide ES Anna copies for filing and future reference.

New Punlaan Building

The new Punlaan School Building will not be finished by this year as earlier planned. Instead, it is scheduled to be finished and opened by the first quarter of next year 2023. By then they will offer new courses which are also in demand, such as caregiving. The old school buildings will be "torn down" and made into the school dorm so that the girls won't need to commute to and from the school to their homes.

Dualtech Contract Update

I received word from Co-chair Mike Albaña in one of our coordination meets that the Dualtech contract needs to be revised to be in line with the current one done by us with BLA Raoul Creencia. I'll get a copy and revise it, then send it to you and BLA Raoul for approval.

Photo-Documentation

I was wondering when you are available so I can set up a photo-documentation schedule with the scholars. At the moment, they are just in T-shirts to save on washing. They will bring their chef's uniforms for the session.
