Investing in Futures of Young Learners: RCM, RCMFI, and Dualtech Partnership Empowers Scholars

THE Rotary Club of Manila (RCM) and the RCManila Foundation, Inc. reaffirmed their commitment to basic education and literacy by presenting scholarship funds to the Dualtech Training Center Foundation, Inc. On Friday, October 17, 2025, this meaningful event celebrated the continuation of a program that invests in the technical skills and futures of young learners.

The day began with a tour of the Dualtech Training Center campus at Carmelray Industrial Park 1 in Calamba, Laguna. RCM President Raoul Creencia and RCManila Foundation Chairman/Past District Governor Alex Cureg led the Rotary delegation. They were warmly welcomed by Dualtech representatives, including Head of Learning Mr. Moises Fajardo, Consultant Mr. Leo Calderon, and Learning Facilitator Jan Denver Penetrante.

A highlight of the program was a heartfelt message of gratitude from a scholar, who spoke on behalf of all ten beneficiaries. His insights underscored the profound impact of the RCM-Dualtech Scholarship Program, which was launched by the late Past President Bobby Joseph in December 2021.

During the ceremony, RCM and RCMFI leaders delivered brief, powerful remarks. President Creencia, Chairman Cureg, and RDSP Chair/Secretary Anton Mauricio spoke on the importance of strong partnerships, skills development, and the life-changing impact of educational support. Mr. Calderon of Dualtech acknowledged the vital and continuous support from RCM and RCMFI.

The core of the event was the presentation of the scholarship check. The funds will cover a two-year electro-mechanic course for ten scholars, with each receiving Php 65,000. As a gesture of gratitude, Mr. Fajardo presented a token of appreciation to RCM and the Foundation through Secretary Mauricio, witnessed by President Creencia, Mr. Calderon, Rotarian Romy Nones, Chairman Cureg, and Mr. Penetrante.

This collaboration is a testament to the power of providing technical education. By equipping young people with in-demand skills, the RCM-RCMFI-Dualtech Scholarship Program not only empowers individuals but also helps build sustainable livelihoods, creating a ripple effect of progress for families and communities.
