John Patrick C. Gregorio

Patrick “Pató” Gregorio is a seasoned sports, tourism, and corporate executive with a track record of linchpin contributions in every industry he has served.

As a tourism executive, he was historically the first to be awarded the Ten Outstanding Young Men for Tourism in 2003 for his contributions to the industry. Pató’s track record in corporate affairs and government relations has trained him in navigating the nuances of public and private sector engagements, a skill he has leveraged successfully in assisting the Bases Conversion and Development Authority (BCDA) in facilitating the historic management transition of Camp John Hay’s legacy properties to interim operators in 2025.

As a corporate sportsman, all national sports organizations that he helmed as a top official (basketball, boxing, and rowing) qualified consistently for the Olympic Games during his period of service. He also helmed the great revival of the Tour of Luzon in April 2025. Since his appointment as Chairman of the Philippine Sports Commission in July 2025, he has been instrumental in advancing strategic initiatives that integrate sports development with tourism, infrastructure, and national positioning, most notably the establishment and strengthening of Regional Training Centers, the reinforcement of clear grassroots-to-elite athlete pathways, and the strategic hosting of major international sporting events as catalysts for sports tourism and economic impact.
