Aleco Donates 25 Books of Philippine Almanac to Bataan School in Honor of Tong Payumo

In a heartfelt tribute to the late Rotarian and and active Aleconian Tong Payumo, Aleconian PT Chito Tagaysay has donated 25 copies of the Philippine Almanac to the University of Nueva Caceres, Bataan on February 23, 2026. The donation honors Payumo, a formerly active Aleconian, for his contributions to the community.

PT Chito, once the largest distributor of Collier’s Encyclopedia, presented the collection to Rtn. Tong Payumo's daughter, Lexi, who accepted the books on her father's behalf. Along with the almanacs, she also received an Ateneo scholarship souvenir program where her father was recognized.

The event was held during the Aleco breakfast fellowship, hosted by Rotarian Cris Acosta.
