Hon. VOLTAIRE D. MAURICIO

Voltaire Dela Cruz Mauricio is a prominent Philippine career diplomat who most recently served as the Consul General of the Philippines in Osaka, Japan. He concluded his tour of duty in Osaka on January 18, 2026.

Hon. Mauricio served as Consul General in Osaka (2022–2026. He led the Philippine Consulate General in Osaka, overseeing relations in Western Japan. His tenure included significant events such as the World EXPO 2025 in Osaka, where he managed the Philippine Pavilion.

Prior to his posting in Japan, he was Minister and Consul at the Philippine Embassy in London, where his jurisdiction included the United Kingdom, Northern Ireland, and the Republic of Ireland.

He has been a vocal advocate for Gender and Development (GAD), chairing regional training sessions for foreign service posts to update the DFA's gender mainstreaming frameworks. He also spearheaded community projects like the Pistang Pilipino sa Osaka to promote Filipino culture.

Prior to joining the foreign service, Hon. Mauricio served in the Senate Legislative staff for Senators Wigberto Tanada, Eduardo Angara, and Franklin Drilon. He was also a partner of The Law Firm of Reyes, Erese, & Mauricio.

He took up his elementary and high school education at Ateneo de Davao and finished his BS Legal Management at Ateneo de Manila. He took up his law studies at the UP College of Law.

He is also a Rotarian with the Rotary Club of Makati Dasmarinas. He is an honorary member of the Rotary Club of Osaka East, a sister club of our Rotary Club of Manila.
