Welcome Remarks

DISTINGUISHED guests, fellow Rotarians, ladies and gentlemen, good morning. It is my honor to welcome you to the 107th Induction Ceremony of the Rotary Club of Manila.

We are grateful to the guest of honor and inducting officer, Manila City Mayor Honorable Francisco “Isko Moreno, for his presence, leadership and support; to our incoming President Reginald Yu, our board of directors and trustees, past president, district officers, fellow Rotarians, and friends. Welcome.

Today is a historic day for the first time we hold our induction ceremony here in front of the Rizal Monument, standing before Dr. Jose Rizal, the national hero of our country. Reminds us that true service is also love for the nation. His life teaches us that leadership must be guided by courage, unity, and purpose. In this minimum pull face, we renew our promise that service above self is not only a Rotary principle, but also a call to serve our country.

We also begin a Rotary year, we give our full support to President Reginald Yu, and he's called TURN: Toward a Unified Rotary Nation. May this guide us to work together with unity, purpose, and strong service.
