The Week That Was

ASAG/RCM Dir. Albert Alday, Program Moderator, calls the day’s sequential order of activities for the joint meeting of the Rotary Club of Manila (RCM) with its daughter club, the Rotary Club of Cebu (RCC).

RCM Pres. Bobby Joseph and RCC Pres. Edward Gaisano alternatingly call the joint meeting to order. RCC IPP Michael Torres delivers an ecumenical prayer. RCM PVP Chito Zaldarriaga leads the offering of special prayers for the eternal repose of the soul of PSAA Fred Lim and for the healing and speedy recovery of RCM PP Cesar Ubaldo and RCM ES Anna Kun Toledo.

RCM PD Abe Pascual recites the Rotarian Pledge as a perfect prelude in fostering and strengthening ties amongst fellow Rotarians by way of reinforcing their resolve in furtherance of Service Above Self.

RCC PP Pete Delantar leads RCM Rotarians and RCC Rotarians in the recitation of the Four (4) Way Test to renew their commitment to the Rotary movement.

IPVP Hermie Esguerra, Chairman, Programs Committee, introduces the RCM Commemoration of the Centennial Celebration and Rotary’s 7th Area of Focus, with the presentation of the RCM Centennial Celebration Video Clip.

ASAG/RCM Dir. Albert Alday, Program Moderator, acknowledges the week’s birthday celebrants from RCM and RCC, namely, RCM Rtn. Mike Guarin, RCM Rtn. Marvin Taylor-Dormond, RCM PDSAA Val Aboy, RCM Rtn. Boj Locsin, RCC Dir. Javi Sala, RCC Dir. Shige Onda, RCC Dir. Tae Yun “Terry” Kim, and RCC Rtn. Joe Franz Cañizares, which was followed by an audiovisual presentation of the World Famous Music Chorale singing the happy birthday song.

Mark Lotzof does the honor, pleasure and privilege of introducing RCC PP Roy Lester Lotzof, President, Rotary Club of Cebu, RY 2011-2012, Ambassador of Goodwill of the Rotary Club of Cebu to the Rotary Club of Manila, RY 2019-2020, RY 2020-2021, Chairman, Global Parking Management Inc., Director, CW Developments, Inc., Strategic Marketing Partner, Minimise SouthEast Asia/Solrev Energy, Executive Consultant, RISE Trustee, Cebu Business Club, Chairman, HR and Partnerships, Mega Cebu, Past President, Cebu Leads Foundation, Past Board Member, Metro Cebu Development Coordinating Board, as Guest Speaker.

RCC PP Roy Lester Lotzof spoke before RCM and RCC Rotarians on the subject of “The Rotary Four Way Test and Energy Efficiency as a Service.”

An open forum immediately followed right after the speech of RCC PP Roy Lester Lotzof. Among those who participated in the open forum were Rtn. John Cutter, Rtn. Manny Blanco, RCC PP Jose Gapas and RCC Rtn. Lawrence Stonebraker
