Board of Judges

Profiles of the four members of the TOWER Awards 2024 Board of Judges: Ellen Fulido, Romeo Nones, Adolfo Jesus Gopez and Reynaldo Palmario.

Board of Judges

SS Ellen Fulido, FPM

Ellen has more than thirty years of work experience in the field of human resource management and office administration gained from manufacturing, sales, and service, pre-need, healthcare, real estate, petrochemical and media/amusement/entertainment industries. Ms. Fullido is very adept in all facets of human resource development and administration; flexible with lots of initiative, has excellent oral and written communication skills, and can relate very well with employees at all levels of the organization.

Mr. Romeo Nones

Romy has been an entrepreneur most of his life. After graduating with a degree in BS Mining Engineering from UP Diliman, he was employed to market equipment to the mining industry. This experience inspired him to put up his own company supplying the needs of the mining, water, and food industries. Outside of business, he continues to have an active leadership involvement in the University of the Philippines Alumni Association, Tau Alpha Fraternity, and the Rotary Club of Manila.

Dr. Ing. Adolfo Jesus Gopez

Dr. Gopez is President of the FEATI University, an engineering, maritime, business and arts institution established in 1946. In 2009 at the urging of the Department of Mining, Metallurgical and Materials Engineering (DMMME) Chairman and with the approval of the Vice Chairman of the Board of Trustees of FEATI University, he has been teaching MS and PhD level courses at the DMMME. He continues to be a technical consultant in physical metallurgy, adaptive metallurgy, and materials selection for manufacturing companies.

Mr. Reynaldo Palmario

Rey grew through the ranks in San Miguel Corporation (SMC) starting as research engineer and was appointed manager of its Farola Glass Plant in 1982 to 1986. He retired as Vice-President of SMC in 2000. Rey is an advocate of productivity through quality especially through the Philippine Quality Award (PQA). He is one of the original promoters of Total Quality Management and an original promoter of ISO certification with the Bureau of Product Standards of the Department of Trade & Industry in the early 1990’s. He has been a resource person and guest speaker on topics of Quality and Productivity, Process Management, 5S, Quality Improvement Teams, ISO and Values Formation.

He served as chairman of PROMAP FOUNDATION, INC. (PFI), a non-profit NGO that promotes skills and values formation among children and the youth. He also served as president of the Philippine Quality & Productivity Movement (PQPM), president of Production & Operations Management Association of the Philippines (PROMAP), president of the Rotary Club of Raha Sulayman Manila (RCRSM) and chairman of RCRSM Foundation. He is a founding member of the Philippine Quality Award Foundation, Inc. (PQAF).
