Empowering Financial Literacy: Rotaract Manila’s Successful Kickstart Event

On February 15, the Rotaract Club of Manila hosted a highly successful financial literacy session at RCBC Plaza - Yuchengco Museum. The event featured insights from Mr. Michael Ricafort, Chief Economist of Rizal Commercial Banking Corporation (RCBC), who shared his expertise on inflation management, investment diversification, and adapting spending habits for financial success. CP Charlie Chua, CPA, CFO, and Country Manager of ERA Group Philippines, highlighted cost-reduction strategies and the importance of viewing debt as a tool for wealth growth.

A special message was also delivered by an RCManila member, Rtn. Xavier Y. Zialcita, Senior Vice President of Rizal Commercial Banking Corporation (RCBC).

With 64 Rotaractors in attendance, key representatives from Rotaract Manila included President Summer Stephanie Bonifacio, President-Elect Andrea Cuevas, Past President Abigael Sarmiento, and Professional Development Director Russel Palubon. The event also brought together enthusiastic members from our co-host clubs—the Rotaract Club of Carmen Valley, Rotaract Club of Makati, Rotaract Club of Manila Business College, Rotaract Club of Puerto Princesa, Rotaract Club of Tagbilaran, and Rotaract Club of Zamboanga City West—showcasing the power of collaboration.
