This partnership reflects a shared commitment to providing safe, timely, and comprehensive care for children and adults with cleft conditions.

The partnership between Operation Smile Philippines and the Rotary Club of Manila plays a vital role in expanding access to life-changing cleft surgeries. Based on the 2025 census records:

• Patients served were predominantly infants and young children, with ages ranging from a few months old to early childhood, highlighting the importance of early surgical intervention.

• Both male and female patients benefited from the program, ensuring inclusive and equitable access to care.

• The most frequently recorded diagnoses include: Unilateral Cleft Lip

• Other cleft-related conditions requiring surgical correction

V. Medical and Surgical Services Provided

The following services were documented in the census:

• Dental Examination: Conducted as part of the comprehensive cleft care protocol.

• Surgical Procedures: Cheiloplasty was the most performed procedure during the reporting period.

All surgeries were performed following Operation Smile’s global medical standards, ensuring patient safety, ethical practice, and quality outcomes.

VI. Role and Contribution of the Rotary Club of Manila

The Rotary Club of Manila provided critical support that directly contributed to the successful delivery of cleft lip and palate surgeries in 2025. This included:

• Financial sponsorship of surgical procedures

• Support for operating costs and patient care

• Strengthening awareness and advocacy for cleft care in the community

Through this partnership, Rotary members helped restore smiles, improve health outcomes, and give patients renewed confidence and opportunity.
